Terms of Service - WealthTrunk

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the WealthTrunk mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

2. About the App

WealthTrunk is a personal finance organization application developed by Christopher Schultz ("Developer," "we," "us," or "our") that helps users track financial accounts, organize data by family members, and visualize financial progress. The App stores data in your personal iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit technology.

4. License to Use

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for your personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms and the Apple App Store Terms of Service.

5. Data Storage and Privacy

  • Your Data: All financial data you enter is stored in your personal iCloud account. We do not store, access, or process your financial data on our servers.
  • Analytics: The App uses Google Analytics for Firebase and Firebase Crashlytics to help us understand app usage and fix crashes. This data is anonymized and does not include your financial information.
  • iCloud: Your use of iCloud storage is subject to Apple's iCloud Terms and Conditions.

6. Subscription Terms

6.1 Payment and Renewal

  • Subscriptions are processed through the Apple App Store
  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the current period ends
  • Your Apple ID account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period
  • You can manage and cancel subscriptions through your Apple ID account settings

6.2 Cancellation

  • If you cancel your subscription, you retain access to all existing data
  • New data creation will be limited to the free tier restrictions
  • No refunds for partial subscription periods

7. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You will not:

  • Use the App for any unlawful purpose or activity
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
  • Remove or alter any proprietary notices or labels on the App
  • Use the App in any way that could damage, disable, or impair the App

8. Disclaimers

8.1 No Financial Advice

WealthTrunk is a financial organization tool only. We do not provide financial advice, investment recommendations, or professional financial services. Always consult qualified financial professionals for advice specific to your situation.

8.2 App Availability

We do not guarantee the App will be available at all times or free from errors or other harmful components.

8.3 Data Accuracy

You are responsible for the accuracy of all data you enter into the App. We are not responsible for any decisions made based on data in the App.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or use, arising out of or in connection with the App, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Developer from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including attorney fees) arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated Terms in the App and update the "Effective Date" at the top. Your continued use of the App after changes constitute acceptance of the new Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.

12. Apple App Store Terms

Your use of the App is also subject to the Apple App Store Terms of Service. In case of conflict between these Terms and the App Store Terms, the App Store Terms will prevail regarding your relationship with Apple.

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

14. Entire Agreement

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and the Developer regarding the App and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
